Coloring pages turned into everyday notebooks. I was inspired to do this drawing from the 80s bishonen characters. I always thought they look so cool and I also got inspired from pinterest. They have these like these Castlevania type characters with the long and flowing hair. I always wanted to do a similar-ish style.
Quick Summary first:
Material smudges easily , and material is satin finish , so its sturdy like a usual notebook but the satinfinish makes it kinda like thicker paper but it smears so easily. So, when u get it , its less likely to be completely spotless ,unfortunately.Because smears so much and easily. So keep that in mind, if u don't have experience with satin finish. Its just really hard to keep this material from smudging or randomly staining.
1.) Artify Premium Watercolor Marker Pens:
Good for inside coloring pages but paper doesn't take wet well.
2.) CrayolaColor pencils :
Its Okey for cover and back of it would be the same. But it is very light.
3.) Sanford Prismacolor, Canary Yellow pc916 :
Works well for cover but not for inside coloring pages. In fact none of the color pencils I had worked for the inside of the prints.
4.) Inside Coloring Pages:
Inside pages work best with markers but not with color pencils, but u can try maybe a more oil base or wax base coloring pencils, might get a better result. And higher quality ones , it might work better. If u want to paint Im not 100 percent sure how it will hold but Because the paper might be able to take 1 layer or so but it may take awhile to dry.
5.) Cover Pages:
marker doesnt work well with it. ColorPencil works better depending on quality.
6.) Bleedthrough:
The water color pens , do cause the paper in the inside to buckle a bit from the water. And, its best to lay 2 to 3 papers behide the pages if u dont want to rip the pages out , to be safe.
